We Want to Hear From You!
AppEC friends, as many of you know we officially announced our name change from Knoxville Gay Men’s Chorus to Appalachian Equality Chorus during our 2022 holiday concerts. Our new name reflects our impassioned resolution to further our mission of equality and inclusion by expanding our celebration of all voices. There is immense diversity within our Appalachian region, and as an organization, we want to honor that richness of experience, identity, story, and perspective by evolving and expanding to include more of those voices in our songs.
Hence, we are immensely excited to announce that plans are underway to develop a
Soprano Alto Chorus, and we will need your help to make it happen. This unprecedented goal will need your support to come to fruition, though time, participation, feedback, and financial contribution. We continue to listen intently to the all the voices within our community and we want each of you to know that we see you, we hear you, and we appreciate your love and support. We sincerely appreciate feedback as growth and development have always been a core value of the organization, which enables us to better serve our community and provides a clearer picture of how we can advance our shared mission. As we continue this open dialogue and take steps toward building a Soprano Alto chorus, this is how you can provide support:
1. Let us know
here if you are interested in singing in a Soprano Alto chorus.
2. Follow us on social media (below) to keep up with our growth.
3. If you already follow us, share widely!
4. As a non-profit organization, we must maintain a relationship with our financial supporters and expand this circle as frequently as possible. To make that vision a reality, we need the financial support of those businesses and individuals who are just as fervent in making this endeavor a success. If you are willing to be one of our first financial supporters of this growth, contact us
here.
We are ecstatic to share the development of the Soprano Alto chorus with you, and we need your help to make this happen!
We are continually thankful for the love and support of our community.
Sincerely,
Your friends with the Appalachian Equality Chorus.
